CATAPULT: 2019 Call Out

We are thrilled to offer the second round of the CATAPULT mentorship program, with multiple mentorships available at $5,000 and one at $10,000 for South Australian artists, craftspeople and designers.

Generously funded by visionary philanthropic organisation, The Ian Potter Foundation.

2019 Catapult applications are now open, closing June 24 at 5pm.

Building on from 2018’s successful inaugural Catapult program, this current round continues a focus on ambitious, transformational applications that will provide a long lasting impact on the career of the recipient. The 2018 Catapult cohort showed a strong mix of artists hungry to build on existing skills and extend the creation and presentation of their work.

These goals were realised through strong connections between the mentee and mentor and thorough action plans, and we look forward to facilitating meaningful experiences in 2019.

Catapult and Catapult + TARNANTHI are opportuitues open to South Australian Guildhouse members.

This CATAPULT mentorship has been both challenging and rewarding. Richard Lewer as a mentor is a champion, he has strengthened my thought process, toughened the way I see things, and stretched my ability to question absolutely everything.

Jane Skeer

2018 CATAPULT Mentee

Guildhouse will once again offer Catapult + TARNANTHI a career development mentorship program for South Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists, craftspeople and designers.

In partnership with TARNANTHI, this mentorship program provides a funded opportunity for an artist to work with a mentor for up to a year, culminating in a presentation of new work as part of the TARNANTHI 2021 Festival.

TARNANTHI presents the contemporary art of the oldest living culture on an unprecedented scale, in a national event held annually by the Art Gallery of South Australia
