Lorry Wedding-Marchioro is a sculptor based in the Adelaide Hills. Currently engaged in Ph.D. research at the University of South Australia, her practice encompasses sculpture from Public Art and installation, focusing on kinetic art. The theory of the Observer effect in Quantum physics is a main inspiration which often makes itself known in playful interactions between elements, the qualities of spontaneity, randomness and fluidity create sculpture that are spontaneous and interactive in nature. In 2018 Lorry was Artist in Residence at the New Royal Adelaide Hospital and she was the recipient of the 2015 Limber Up, Guildhouse mentorship, partnering with Dave Christopher to create interactive sculpture. Public artwork has become a focus in recent years and recent commissions are Being Away for the City of Charles Sturt in 2019. Banding together, for the City of Prospect, 2019. Zephyr and Incandescence for the City of Charles Sturt, 2017, and Then and Now, for the City of Onkaparinga, 2014.   website:
