The Advice Bank model allows practitioners to have 40 minutes with an industry expert to workshop / troubleshoot / refine a specific business or career development issue.

Advice Bank: Intermediate Website

Bridie Letford is an Adelaide-based Senior Business Analyst who is proficient across website build platforms commercially available for a ‘self build’. In this 40 minute one-on-one session Bridie provided practical guidance and troubleshooting to artists on their existing websites. In particular Bridie has experience across Squarespace, weebly and wordpress. This session was a must for any artist grappling with the backend of their current website.

Advice Bank: Writing for Social Media

Kate Larsen is an Adelaide-based writer, arts manager and non-profit/cultural consultant – at the time of this event she was the Writer in Residence in the Guildhouse ART WORKS program, located in the Minor Works Building. In this 40 minute one-on-one session Kate provided guidance and advice around writing for social media, including Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. The session looked at the parameters of each platform and provided guidance around tone and the effective use of limited word counts.
