Bookings are no longer available. You are invited to join us for the launch of Heidi Kenyon’s Collections Project at the Santos Museum of Economic Botany. Heidi has long been intrigued by the Garden of Health at the Adelaide Botanic Garden as a resource for contemplation and healing. The new body of sound and installation works she has created as part of The Collections Project is informed by research focusing on the memories and knowledge held within hundreds of thousands of years of plant medicine, and respond directly to the site’s history and its living collection. These works extend her current interest in the nature of memory, and the memories of nature. The Guildhouse Collections Project with the Botanic Gardens of South Australia provides participating artists with the opportunity to respond to the extensive collections of the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium, and develop new work for exhibition at the Santos Museum of Economic Botany.
