Guildhouse was proud to be the major supporting partner for the 2012 Australian Ceramics Triennale, ‘Subversive Clay’. The conference was held over four days exploring clay as a medium capable of challenging artistic, social and cultural issues through an investigation across traditions and  new experimentations.

Highlights of the conference were key note addresses by renowned ceramicists, Akio Takamori, Anton Reijnder, Clare Twomey and Penny Byrne, with Masterclasses by Akio Takamori and Masamichi Yohsikawa. These internationally celebrated practitioners discussed their work as key note speakers over the four days of the symposium.
