Guildhouse Advice Bank responds to demand for tailored, one-on-one advice from small creative businesses. Teamed with a workshop or information sessions, the Advice Bank model allows practitioners to have 45 minutes with an industry expert to workshop/ troubleshoot/refine a specific business or career development issue. We know businesses gain maximum value and momentum when they have the opportunity to follow up on individual issues with relevant professionals.

In this session Jason Sims, a respected visual artist and sculptor, will provide advice pertaining to his experience in Public Art.

Jason Sims is a contemporary Australian artist known for his sculptural works that explore the potential of light and reflection to create simple illusions of space and form. He has achieved great success while still in the beginning of his Public Art career, with pieces in Melbourne (Docklands) and Adelaide (Bank Street), he will be revealing a new Public Art piece with the Unley Council in 2019.

Since graduating with a Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours) from the University of South Australia in 2006, Sims has exhibited across Australia as well as in Hong Kong, the USA and Europe. His work is held in major public and private collections, including Artbank, the Art Gallery of Western Australia and the Gippsland Art Gallery, and he is represented by commercial galleries in Melbourne, California and The Netherlands.
