Artist Talk by Fran Callen | 1.15pm

Fran’s table-top work is centred on this site of domestic activity – the sharing of food and drink, story-telling and the juggling that comes with child-rearing. While we eat and drink, you’ll be encouraged to draw, trace, scribble and spill…

The idea of creating a shared, informal and family-friendly lunch bubbled out of Fran’s fabulous opening at The Studio during SALA. Fran was delivering her artist talk, one child on hip, the other busy scribbling away at the table-top canvas situated within the exhibition space. We felt it would be a great way to celebrate Fran’s work and her practice, and invite artists, curators, her friends and supporters to join us before the end of the exhibition.
