Whatever the purpose – grant application, exhibition invite, marketing material or prize entry – getting the best documentation you can afford may mean the difference between winning that opportunity or missing out! Learn the value of a good image and discover the keys to getting one in this lecture-based workshop presented by the highly regarded glass artist Wendy Fairclough and experienced fine art photographer Grant Hancock.

In this session, Wendy Fairclough will be discussing the importance of professional documentation. Not only has she sat on Arts SA’s peer assessment panel but she also has first-hand experience how high quality images can turn into sales.

11:30 – 1:00pm Point and shoot: a step-by-step guide
Learn how to set up and shoot your work yourself in this practical demonstration presented by Grant Hancock. Bring along a piece of your work and Grant will take you through a step-by-step guide to photographing it yourself.

After lunch Grant will continue his practical demonstration of how to set up and shoot your work. He’ll also be discussing how to prepare your image files for various outputs, including the formats you should be using for email, print and the web and what you need to know when re-sizing.
*Please note: Grant will not be able to demonstrate how to set up and shoot everyone’s work but will be choosing a selection of work in order to demonstrate the greatest number of techniques within the time frame. No materials or cameras are required at this workshop but don’t forget to bring along a price of your work.
