Don’t miss this rare opportunity to visit the private studios of some of Adelaide’s most successful artists and hear how they’ve established sustainable careers. Craftsouth’s new series of talks in the artist’s studio invites you to learn from well-regarded creative professionals as they describe their career development – where they started, what they’ve done to get where they are and the lessons they’ve learned along the way. An audience Q&A and the opportunity to network with other creatives will follow, light refreshments provided.

Renew Adelaide is a not for profit organisation that negotiates with property holders for rent-free access to vacant commercial real estate with the aim of increasing creative, social and economic activity. Since its conception in 2010 Renew Adelaide has worked with a diverse range of creative startups including visual artists, fashion designers and musicians to bring their concept to life.

Hear from past and present Renew Adelaide participants Lauren Lovett of Littlest Vintage and Christopher Arblaster of Filter Store talk about how they got their passions off the ground with help from Renew Adelaide and little or no money. Also hear from Renew Adelaide General Manager Lily Jacobs on how you can be involved and what’s next for Renew. Interact with all three speakers and get an intimate look at a Renew Adelaide project in action.
