Tour the Botanic Gardens and State Herbarium of South Australia in preparation for The Collections Project 2019 application.
The Collections Project provides artists with the opportunity to research the Botanic Garden’s extensive historical and living collections. Beginning in February 2019, the research period will allow time for an artist to create responsive new work for exhibition at the Museum of Economic Botany in July 2019. This project has a rich history of connecting artists with state institutions, examples of previous collaborations with Flinders University Art Museum, Art Gallery of South Australia and the Museum of Economic Botany can be found here.
Attend a tour of the Museum of Economic Botany collection within the Botanic Gardens; during which the scope of the project, including access to the collection and presentation options, will be discussed. The event will feature a tour with Tony Kanellos Curator, Santos Museum of Economic Botany; 2018 The Collections Project recipient artist Heidi Kenyon and Guildhouse Artistic Programs Manager Debbie Pryor.
