The Collections Project 2017/2018 at the Flinders University Art Museum (FUAM) is a collaborative project between Guildhouse and the Flinders University Art Museum that provides artists with the opportunity to respond to Flinders University’s extensive collection of art and develop new work for exhibition at their Bedford Park campus.
If you are considering applying for this unique opportunity we encourage you to attend a tour of the Flinders University Art Museum collection and Bedford Park campus during which the scope of the project, including access to the collection and presentation options, will be discussed.
Driving: If you are driving, the closest car park is Carpark 5, off Humanities Road.
Once you turn into Flinders University campus from Sturt Road, you will wind your way around University Drive. Turn left on Ring Road, then right on Humanities Road. If Carpark 5 is full, there are other car parks further up Ring Rd. There are short term parking bays for 2-4 hours, or all day parking. Both are approximately $5 and please note that ticket machines only take coins. Parking is very limited at the beginning of each semester and you may find it is a 5 or 10 minute walk down the hill back to the Art Museum.
Public Transport: There are many bus routes that stop at Flinders University – this is a good option if you don’t wish to worry about parking.
Once you arrive: If you are lost or have any other queries, please don’t hesitate to contact the Museum on 8201 2695.
