Arts Law is a national entity that provides legal advice and information on a wide range of arts related legal and business matters including contracts, copyright, business structures, defamation, insurance, employment and taxation to artists and arts organisations across all art forms.

The Advice Bank clinics will be run by Roxanne Lorenz, Senior Solicitor, Arts Law Centre of Australia.

These one-on-one sessions are suitable for practitioners who are seeking advice on specific legal matters relating to their practice or artistic business. Each session runs for up to 45 minutes so please make sure you provide a brief outline of the issue you are seeking advice for during the booking process.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Roxanne Lorenz is a solicitor at Arts Law where she advises artists and organisations on a range of legal areas; most commonly intellectual property (copyright, moral rights and trade marks), contracts, confidentiality, consumer, defamation and insurance laws. Roxanne understands the commercial realities for creators and creative organisations protecting their intellectual property. Prior to Arts Law, Roxanne worked at the Australia Council for the Arts (the Australian Government’s arts funding and advisory body), the Brisbane Festival (one of Australia’s leading international arts festivals) and Queensland Theatre Company (Australia’s third largest and Queensland’s flagship theatre company).
