Arts Law is a national entity that provides legal advice and information on a wide range of arts related legal and business matters including contracts, copyright, business structures, defamation, insurance, employment and taxation to artists and arts organisations across all art forms.

The Advice Bank clinics will be run by Suzanne Derry, the Senior Solicitor at the Arts Law Centre of Australia, where she has worked for over 10 years. Suzanne has worked for a number of community legal centres and a boutique entertainment law practice. Suzanne provides legal advice on a copyright, contract, defamation, debt and business structures. Suzanne enjoys educating artists about their rights and providing practical advice across a range of arts areas.

These one-on-one sessions are suitable for practitioners who are seeking advice on specific legal matters relating to their practice or artistic business. Each session runs for up to 45 minutes so please make sure you provide a brief outline of the issue you are seeking advice for during the booking process.
