Gain an insight into the creative processes involved in contemporary jewellery making while learning intricate cutting, construction and mark making techniques like engraving and stamping using metallic coated paper and card stock.
Create a personal wearable object and collective memory piece by exploring ideas around how the objects we carry with us create a sense of identity using the city as your inspiration.

Sahr Bashir is a visual artist and art educator. Her practice explores the body as a territory for objects and she constructs narratives to celebrate the ordinary. The deceptive quality of materials and their manipulation are intrinsic to her work. With a postgraduate degree in Design from UNSW Art & Design, Sydney, her recent roles included teaching and conducting workshops in contemporary jewellery at the School of Art, Architecture & Design, University of South Australia.
