We are delighted to launch the 2027 Catapult + Adelaide Fringe Mentorship.

Catapult + Adelaide Fringe applications are now open, and close 3 May 2026, 6pm.

The Catapult + Adelaide Fringe Mentorship provides a 9-month funded opportunity for a South Australian visual artist, craft practitioner or designer to expand their practice by working with a local, national or international mentor. The mentorship will culminate in an artist talk as part of the 2027 Adelaide Fringe.

The selected mentee and mentor will collectively receive $8,000 administered by Guildhouse:

  • $7,000 – mentee and mentor fees (including superannuation)
  • $1,000 – artist talk fees (e.g. Adelaide Fringe registration, venue fees)

Building on Guildhouse’s strong history of successful mentorships, this call out continues to focus on applications that provide long-lasting impacts on the recipient’s professional practice. One recipient will be selected for this opportunity.

The Catapult + Adelaide Fringe Mentorship is presented in collaboration with Guildhouse and the Adelaide Fringe Foundation – Arts Unlimited.

Please read the Guidelines and FAQs before forming your application.

Claude Creighton, 2026 Catapult + Adelaide Fringe recipient, reflects on their mentorship with Steve Howarth of Erth Visual & Physical Inc:

Overall, this experience has broadened my understanding of the industry, expanded my skillset, and been genuinely transformative for my practice… It has given me direction and confidence in the area of puppet making and performance and helped me understand where this work can take me professionally.

Applications must be made via the online application form – button above. Please read the project Guidelines before forming your application.
