We are delighted to open the call out for the 2025 Guildhouse Catapult mentorship program, offering multiple mentorships for South Australian artists, craftspeople and designers.

Catapult mentorship applications are now open, and close Monday 18 August 2025, 9am.

Catapult mentorships provide creative professionals with essential funding and guidance to foster long-lasting benefits for the recipient’s practice. Catapult is an artist-led mentoring program delivered by Guildhouse since 2018. The program provides a flexible and paid opportunity for artists at all stages of their career to purposefully engage in mentorship with their chosen mentor, with Guildhouse providing support and facilitation.

Guildhouse’s Catapult mentorships have supported a diverse range of artists to pursue tailored learning outcomes. South Australian mentees may select a mentor, locally, nationally or internationally to develop skills, realise goals and expand their practice through generative exchange. Robust connections between mentee and mentor, plus clear goals, have proven crucial for meaningful outcomes.

In this round, we have two opportunities available with one mentorship identified for regional artists supported by Country Arts SA. Each mentorship is valued at $7,000 with funds administered by Guildhouse.

Catapult is generously funded through the Guildhouse Creative Champions donor program and Country Arts SA.

The next round of mentorships will be announced later in the year. Guildhouse looks forward to continuing to facilitate transformational experiences in 2025 and beyond.

[The mentorship] has significantly increased my confidence and reinforced the importance of acting on my creative ideas quickly rather than overthinking or losing momentum. I’ve learned to take action in the moment of inspiration, rather than letting ideas sit until they no longer feel exciting.
