Guildhouse is making some changes to our membership and pricing structure.

We are introducing these changes to our membership structure in direct response to feedback from the sector. After five years of maintaining the same prices, we need to increase the cost of our memberships with insurance due to the annual rising costs of insurance premiums. These changes are necessary so that we can continue providing a wide range of services to support our great visual arts, craft and design community.
The changes will take place from 1 July 2022 and are as follows:
  • Accredited: $290 p/a
Will now encompass what currently exists as Accredited and Allied. Suitable for artists, craftspeople, designers, curators, arts workers and installers. Includes relevant insurance policies.
  • Community: $98 p/a
A new category that effectively combines our prior Associate and Affiliate memberships. This tier is relevant for artists, friends, organisations, other guilds and collectives that are not seeking insurance.
  • Student: Free for the duration of higher education study
This category will remain the same; free for the duration of your higher education study.

New or existing members have the option of paying membership fees in full before rates go up. You can do this until 30 June 2022.

No immediate action is required from you in relation to these changes. Current Accredited and Allied members will automatically be rolled into an Accredited membership and Associate and Affiliate members will automatically be rolled into a Community membership.

We have seen many positive developments at Guildhouse over the past decade and significantly in the past 3 years. We are striving to empower and support you and the sector with a breadth of initiatives and services that make a meaningful contribution. We are acutely aware of the challenges the sector is facing, and we understand that even small things can have a big impact.

I can’t thank Guildhouse enough for the career building opportunities they have provided to me in recent years. From having my voice and opinion’s heard and respected through their advisory committee, to receiving valuable guidance through the Catapult mentorship, the support I receive is always encouraging, practical and helpful. It’s comforting to know that an organisation exists purely to support and uplift the artists of South Australia, and I love being part of this community.
