Sort your money stuff out so you can get on with making art.

Tax time doesn’t have to be terrifying. Sure, it’s probably your least favourite part of being a creative but leaving it until the last minute is not a great tactic. Sound familiar? You’re not alone!

Preparing your tax can be difficult to wrap your head around if you are a sole trader, particularly if you are a sole trader with part-time employment, as many artists are.

Experienced Chartered Accountant Lauren Thiel specialises in working with creatives. In this session Lauren will guide you through the basics of preparing and lodging a tax return and dispelling common myths around what can be claimed and the record keeping required.

What I liked most was the approachable, relatable, positive and enthusiastic style of the presenter, Lauren Thiel.
