Molas, a form of layered reverse-appliqué, are made by the Kuna Indians of Colombia and are thought to represent their philosophical traditions in a material form. They have their origins in body painting that has been transferred to a material form to be worn on the body. Participants in this workshop will make a traditional blouse panel and learn about the rich cultural history of Molas.
