The Collections Project: Chris De Rosa
in conversation with Tony Kanellos

11am Saturday 5 March
City Library, Level 3, Francis Street, Rundle Place, Rundle Mall, Adelaide

You are invited to join us for a lively conversation as Chris De Rosa discusses her exploration of the social history of the City’s parklands with Tony Kanellos, Cultural Collections Manager and Curator of the Museum of Economic Botany.

During a 3 month residency at the City Library, artist Chris De Rosa delved into the vast Adelaide City Council Archive and the City Library’s History Hub collections researching the way flora is used in commemorative and celebratory displays, and the impressions they leave on the general public by engaging with the community at City Library.

The Collections Project is a collaboration between Guildhouse and the Adelaide City Council, providing selected artists the opportunity to undertake a residency at the City Library while researching an area of the City Archives to develop new work for exhibition.
