The Collections Project

Art Gallery of South Australia

4 July 2015

Exploring the complex realm of perceptual art, Jason Sims’ evocative light boxes blur the lines between reality and illusion. Inspired by a number of works in the Art Gallery of South Australia’s collection, including those by Donald Judd, Frank Hinder and Camille Pissarro, Sims used lights, mirror and Perspex to challenge viewer perception and emphasize the fluidity of our constructed worlds.

Jason was invited by the Art Gallery of South Australia to extend his project and produce a body of work for exhibition at the Gallery to coincide with SALA.
