Public art makes for activated public spaces and vibrant cities. Guildhouse is thrilled to be working with UAP (Urban Art Projects) to deliver two events as part of the Place SA program. This workshop is for anyone who works with or commissions art for the public realm. The workshop will focus on identifying distinct place identity, and how visionary public art can balance authentic place brand with design. UAP will highlight pitfalls to help you avoid looking like every other city competing for distinction.
This workshop follows a breakfast networking event and presentation on Art, Place, and Identity. We encourage workshop attendees to book for the Art, Place and Identity presentation by Urban Art Projects as both events will be run consecutively
UAP collaborate with artists, architects & designers to deliver creative outcomes for the public realm. They have accumulated vast experience over the last twenty years and deliver exciting projects all around the world. They have studios based in Brisbane, Shanghai and New York. Place SA is a platform for exploring and sharing what makes a great place, and holds a program of events in October each year throughout Adelaide and South Australia.
