Our programs support and promote artists. We offer opportunities for ongoing professional development, engagement with new audiences and an extension to the studio environment.
Artistic programs
The Guildhouse Fellowship
The Guildhouse Fellowship, valued at over $50,000, is awarded annually to one South Australian mid-career visual artist, craftsperson or designer.
The Collections Project
A unique opportunity that allows members to develop works for exhibition in response to the collections of South Australian state institutions.
CATAPULT Mentorship
Guildhouse’s mentorship program aims to provide creative professionals with essential funding and support to expand their artistic practice and experience a career-changing opportunity.
INFORM
Presentations by industry leaders, information sessions and networking events to provide creative professionals with knowledge, skills and contacts necessary for a successful practice.
JPE Design Studio Artist in Residence
Presented in partnership with Guildhouse, this residency opportunity will see two artists a year in a creative exchange within the JPE studios, culminating in a work or installation presented during SALA and Fringe festivals.
Intersection Regional Tour
Intersection is a bespoke professional development program connecting artists, craftspeople, designers and creatives in regional communities across South Australia.
UniSA Yungondi Gallery
Creativity and collaboration are at the heart of innovation. UniSA Business has partnered with Guildhouse to present works by contemporary South Australian artists to encourage reflection and inspire new ideas.
Adelaide Airport
Guildhouse partnered with Adelaide Airport to curate an impactful exhibition celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and showcase the 2024 NAIDOC Week theme throughout the Terminal.
Wall-to-Wall Exhibition Program
The Guildhouse Wall-to-Wall exhibition program partners with artists and organisations based in South Australia to foster opportunities to reach new audiences.
Brown Falconer Artist in Residence
Brown Falconer have an established and ongoing commitment for research, collaboration and knowledge driven design since 1945. This residency fosters the meaningful exchange of specialist knowledge across disciplines and specialties.
Voice of the Artist
Supported by the City of Adelaide, the Guildhouse Voice of the Artist commission is an opportunity to inspire, comfort, subvert, and respond to the times we are living in, signalling solidarity to the artistic community and inspiration to pedestrians and passers-by.

Monthly Advice Bank
For financial members, book in an appointment for our Monthly Advice Bank where you can get advice from Guildhouse’s experienced arts professionals and discuss a range of topics affecting your arts practice.
Monthly Admin Bank
For financial members, book in to use a space at our Lion Arts Membership Hub for their administration needs to undertake the logistical and administrative aspects of sustaining their creative careers.
Guildhouse Greets
Open to all, Guildhouse Greets responds to our community’s desire for more opportunities to network and break down the barriers to connection within the visual arts, craft, and design sector.
This residency provided an immersive and collaborative experience which inspired a new body of work that extended my studio practice. I anticipate the inspiration, discoveries, and overall experience I gained from this residency will continue to inform my art practice for many years to come.

Nice to Meet You
Nice to Meet You is a series of public talks which invites visiting curators to share their knowledge and experiences with Adelaide audiences and arts communities. Co-presented by ACE Open and Guildhouse.
Guildhouse Studios
Prominently placed within the Tarntanya/Adelaide gallery hub, two rent-free studio spaces are available as part of a pilot studio program at Guildhouse Lion Arts, in close proximity to contemporary art galleries ACE, Nexus, JamFactory and SAMSTAG.
CSIRO Waite Campus Artist in Residence
CSIRO and Guildhouse came together to create a funded artist-in-residence opportunity for a South Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander artist designed to facilitate meaningful cross cultural exchange between artists and scientists.
Tracing the Anthropocene
A collaborative partnership between Guildhouse and the South Australian Museum as part of the project STEAM Incubator Series: A creative exploration of sustainability at the fusion of the Arts, Culture and Science, supported by Arts South Australia.
U City Artist in Residence
Uniting Communities and Guildhouse have come together to offer a new 7-month integrated artist residency at Uniting Communties’ flagship U City Building in the Adelaide CBD.
Traditional Craft Workshops
Celebrating 10 years in 2020, Guildhouse’s Traditional Craft Skills Project partners with JamFactory to deliver a series of one day and five week workshops sharing the skills and traditions of culturally and linguistically diverse craftspeople living in South Australia.
Yiwei Art Projects
Guildhouse has established a partnership with Shanghai-based Yiwei Art Foundation: this will offer exhibition, residency and career development opportunities for artists in both South Australia and China.
FELTspace Graduate Award
Guildhouse are delighted to partner with FELTspace to support the FELTspace Graduate Award. The award program is an annural initiative that provides an exhibition opportunity to three outstanding Visual Arts graduates.

Offering exhibition experience post-study for South Australian visual art graduates. These projects offer graduates invaluable support and career development opportunities to help establish their careers.
